If you missed this week’s Valley of the Suns Live! the Weekly Edition episode streamed live on Twitter, Periscope, and YouTube, have no fear: We have the replay here!

With the NBA Finals over, the 2018 offseason has become the Summer of LeBron, and speculation about where he will end up at the start of the 2018-19 season is already in full swing.

That is precisely where this week’s Valley of the Suns Live! the Weekly Edition comes into play: can the Phoenix Suns be in play for LeBron James in free agency? Or is literally any discussion about him an absolute pipe dream that should already be up in smoke before a match is ever even lit?

When people discuss what LeBron James is looking for in a new team, they believe that he wants a core of talented young athletes, preferably with at least one established star for him to pair with, cap space to add a third veteran star, and a high level of assurance that he will remain in the hunt for a championship immediately.

Obviously off the top, many fans think of Los Angeles, Houston, and Philadelphia. Teams with talent, (some with more than others), and teams with cap space, (some more than others).

Each of those situations places LeBron in a place where he can not only pair up with talent immediately, but compete for a championship immediately as well.

Our discussion did not preclude that the Phoenix Suns currently have the best set of circumstances when compared to other teams in the previously-named group. We do not believe that the Phoenix Suns are or even should be at the front of the pack for LeBron if/when he makes a decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But we did discuss in depth that the Phoenix Suns are not that far off, and with some tweaking, could very well place themselves at the same level of competitiveness as the other teams, potentially getting themselves a seat at the LeBron James free agency table.

Of course much more was discussed on this week’s edition of Valley of the Suns Live! most of which was centered around the draft and potential free agency targets.

Check out the replay above and of course catch the show live  weekly on Monday nights at 6pm AZ time on Twitter, Periscope, and YouTube!
