4. Hedo Turkoglu

Next up is everybody’s favorite Turk, Hedo Turkoglu.

Turkoglu was the 16th pick by the Sacramento Kings in 2000 and spent his career as an impact starter/role player for 15 NBA seasons. Those 15 years were spent across the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers.

In 2000, Hedo started out by making the All-Rookie team. However, in three seasons with the Kings, Hedo only averaged 7.5 points and 3.4 rebounds along with 1.4 assists.

Turkoglu upped his scoring in one year with the Spurs, scoring 9.2 points per game. After his stint with the Spurs, he moved on to the Orlando Magic. These were his most impactful years in the NBA. In five seasons, Turkoglu averaged 15.7 points, 4.5 points, and 3.6 assists. In addition, Hedo won the most improved player award in the 2007-08 season. That season he averaged 19.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Hedo then finished his career with stops in Toronto, Phoenix, Orlando (again) and Los Angeles. Once he returned to Orlando, his numbers dropped off until retirement in 2015. Playing almost 1000 games in his career, Hedo was well worth the pick.

For his first 12 seasons, Hedo played relatively great ball, making him the fourth best player drafted 16th overall.
