Caris LeVert

At 6’7″ he has played mostly on the wing so far in his young career, but is a good play maker and at only 23-years-old he can definitely become a full time point guard.

The question with Caris LeVert is would the Brooklyn Nets be willing to give him up?

I do think with as many guards and wings as they have on their roster that something could be worked out.

He can shoot, making 35% of his treys on 3.5 attempts per game this season to the tune of 12.1 points. He can also rebound, pass and has defensive potential (4.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in only 26.3 minutes). If you make those numbers per 36 minutes that’s a very appealing line of 16.6 points, 5.7 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals. Imagine a player like LeVert sharing the backcourt with Devin Booker.

Patrick Beverley

This is possibly the most proven guy out of the pack and would be a solid veteran add. We saw how much he helped the development of James Harden and what a good fit he was next to him. He could provide the same thing for Booker.

Patrick Beverley of the L.A. Clippers should be at the top of the Suns’ list when it comes to trading for non-star PGs. The Clips would probably deal him for the right price too being that he just came off an injury that cost him most of the season.

He is a good long distance shooter (37.6% clip on 4.4 attempts per game over his career), a solid rebounder, and playmaker and a very good defender.

Additionally, he’s always done so good against the Suns stretching back to his rookie season. In his last 10 games against Phoenix he has shot 53% from the field, nailed 2.5 treys putting up 14.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.9 steals each match.

Hey, if you can’t beat ’em, sign ’em!!

Was that an audition for the future? Does he want to be here? It’s worth a shot and one the front office shouldn’t hesitate in making.
