Josh Jackson

2017-18 Stats:

13.1 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 1.5 APG, 35 GS

Outlook: Yes.

Josh came on very strong after the All-Star break in his rookie season. A switch seemed to flip on (thanks in large part to the coaching of former interim head coach Jay Triano), and he quickly became a player who looked worthy of the 4th overall pick. His defense was fantastic at times, although he definitely needs to find consistency on that end of the floor. Surprisingly, it was his offense that became the staple near the end of the year. With Devin Booker and T.J. Warren on the shelf, Josh became the clear-cut go-to option for Phoenix, and his production showed why.

Josh has all the physical tools to be a superstar and he has shown flashes of that talent as well. His second season needs to be more consistent, and he needs to show an improved shooting percentage and shot selection. However, playing with Booker should improve his shot selection naturally. The fact of the matter is that Jackson has become another cornerstone piece for the Phoenix Suns, and I personally don’t think any star is worth giving him up for at this point in time.
