As we continue to move through the postseason/offseason, there are so many questions still surrounding this Phoenix Suns team. This time I will look specifically at the forwards.

After looking at the guard position in my last post, this time I will delve into the forwards, the position group with arguably the most potential, yet at the same time, the most question marks heading into next season.

Josh Jackson is the main focal point of the forward position for the Phoenix Suns. He has all the tools and potential to be the 1b to Devin Booker‘s 1a. There have been plenty of rumblings already about including him in a trade for the likes of Kawhi Leonard or Anthony Davis. To me, trading Josh would be a mistake. He is hungry, young, multi-faceted, and the sky is the limit for him. Plus, he could grow right along with Booker to form a formidable 1-2 punch for the next decade. Add another above average player in this June’s draft, and that core trio could be on t-shirts and billboards into the 2030’s.

The rest of the forwards on this roster all come with question marks. The position is deep with potential for the Suns, but as of now none of their players have even sniffed actualizing that potential. This begs the ultimate question: who should stay, and who should go?
