Scouting Report. University of Arizona. 1. 66. Pick Analysis. Center. DeAndre Ayton. player

I have advocated for trading this pick if the Suns get it.  However, I don’t think the Suns will.  I would select Doncic with this pick, but again, I don’t think they will. When you have a chance to draft an elite player in a position with few elite players, that’s what you do. It’s what the book says, it’s what owners and fans want, it’s just what you do.

Maybe Ayton grows into the next KAT or Anthony Davis but it won’t happen any time soon. This team will be feeling the sense of urgency to compete and they’ll need to be patient. The  generational talent is undeniable, but it’ll take time and coaching talent to develop.
