Three reasons to be glad the Suns’ season is finally over

Lack of Perimeter Shooting
In the NBA today, the 3-point revolution is being televised.
Since the 3-point shot was introduced in the 1982-83 season, the league average of attempts and makes has seen some fluctuation but risen steadily.
However, he Suns, in this regard, were mediocre when it came to attempts and straight up stunk when it came to making them.
The Suns were 19th in 3PA and last in the league in 3P%.
To put this in perspective, the league average for 3P% is .362%. The Suns were .334%.
This is a franchise that over the last 15 years has led the league in 3-point shooting five times and been top-10 eight times.
2017-18 is the first time that the Phoenix Suns finished in last.
Next: Second Round Prospect Standouts
Only four players shot league average or better from deep. That includes Jared Dudley, Devin Booker, Troy Daniels, and Dragan Bender.
Gladly, we won’t have to see this team as a collective shoot bricks as if they’re building a new arena until next season. By then, hopefully this will be addressed.
Also, there will be plenty of opportunities to improve in that department this upcoming offseason.
With that said, hopefully some of these same players improve as well!
