Boston Celtics

No one has more assets than the Boston Celtics. But they need to turn a lot of good assets into a few great assets to put them over the top in the Eastern Conference. Even with a trade that would include Jaylen Brown and thre first round picks, they could leave the core of their team intact and add Ayton potentially creating a perennial championship-competitive team – especially when LeBron James heads West.

It makes sense for them to do that.

For the Suns, they can get a mother load of assets in return and they’re going to make you instantly more competitive. It just makes sense. Jaylen Brown could be retained and play shooting guard and small forward behind Booker and Jackson, while T.J. Warren is flipped in a trade for a piece the team more desperately needs, or visa versa. The picks too help fascilitate other moves, whether to move back into the draft or move up in the draft, or to help create sign-and-trades.

This trade helps the Suns to improve now while still gaining more assets for the future. It makes a lot of sense for both sides.
