Steve Nash

Steve Nash was also a pass first point guard with a sweet shooting stroke and his name will forever come up when one looks at terms like underdog and perseverance. He only received a single scholarship offer, from Santa Clara, and it was there that he led a memorable upset over #2 seeded Arizona in the NCAA Tourney. Steve was named to seven All-NBA teams and eight All-Star games. Nash also won back-to-back MVP awards, becoming one of only 13 players to win multiple MVP’s. He helped jump start the development of basketball in Canada, is General Manager of their National Team, and won a ring as the Golden State Warriors’ Player Development Consultant. For every modern day fan of Stephen Curry, there likely wouldn’t be Curry without Nash. He was Curry before Curry and definitely an ambassador for the sport and a pioneer of the high tempo fun the league is today. Upon retiring, Nash finished with All-Time ranks of 12th in 3-pointers made, 10th in 3-point percentage, 1st in free throw percentage and 3rd in assists. Well deserved. Congrats Steve Nash!
