Five signs this season has been a success

Devin Booker continues to improve and will be re-signed at the max
Although he has missed more games this season due to injury than each of his first two seasons, Booker has shown that he is the scoring star everyone had been hoping he would be.
Averaging 24.9 points per game this season, he’s averaging more points than any Suns player since Amar’e Stoudemire averaged 25.2 in 2007-08, and the most for a guard since Paul Westphal also averaged 25.2, although all the way back in 1977-78. Booker has also averaged a career-high in makes (2.8), attempts (7.4), and percentage (38.3) from 3-point range, while averaging career-highs in FG% (43.2), assists (4.7), rebounds (4.2), and FT% (87.8).
Booker has also shown continued stability in his maturity while not letting his growing stardom affect his personality, and has developed into a leadership role both on the roster and in the community. The Suns have a potential superstar who is only 21-years-old, and not only did he not regress this season, but he actually took tremendous strides towards an even brighter prime than anyone could have imagined after his selection 13th overall in 2015.
This summer he will be well compensated with a max contract extension that will kick in in the summer of 2019. He will be around for a long time to come, and this season will prove to be only a jumping off point.
