Will Alan Williams play enough to prove he should return?

Alan Williams is back!

At least, he is expected  to be at some point.

So when he does get to play, how good will he be? After missing the vast majority of this season, getting to see Big Sauce on the court will be an exciting time for his fans and teammates alike.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that Sauce will be back next season as his contract is not guaranteed. At $5M to return, Phoenix might actually need that cap space to help them acquire a star player in free agency or through trade (or a couple of them).

On that same token, if that $5M is picked up then it could actually be a decent trade piece in that trade for a star, provided that he plays enough this season to show that last season was not a fluke and thus maintain some trade value.

It will be fun to watch him play regardless, but his play will help to determine whether or not he returns next season, and whether or not he has any part in the team’s future.
