Can Marquese Chriss save his job?

There is no bigger disappointment on the Suns’ current roster than Marquese Chriss.

Albeit not the team’s first selection in 2016, Chriss was traded up for and selected in the top-ten. Some return on that value is expected, and some growth from one year to the next isn’t too much to ask for.

And yet, Chriss appears to have regressed. He has also not endeared himself with most of the fanbase because of his continued complaining to referees, not showing any improvement in his offensive game whatsoever, and now with the antics in Utah when he essentially cold-cocked Ricky Rubio with a giant shove.

Does Marquese Chriss hear all the chatter about many fans wanting him gone? With that conversation becoming louder and louder, does he become a shell or does he actually work hard to help himself? Does he have much trade value at the moment and can he grow it with a good final ten games?

What to watch for is if Chriss can turn it on and actually have a strong finish to the season potentially re-adhering himself as a piece of the future or bumping up his trade value enough to help the Suns move him in a package for a true star.
