5: Brandon McCoy, UNLV.

If the Suns go smaller with their top pick, heck, even if they go bigger, Brandon McCoy could be a very, very nice mid-first round pickup, and a great fit. With such great size and athletic ability, McCoy would have an opportunity in Phoenix to develop nicely immediately, especially if he is the only center drafted.

Having averaged 17 points and over 10 rebounds in a single season with the Rebels, McCoy has shown his dominance down low both offensively and defensively. A solid rebounder and shot blocker with great athleticism who shoots a high percentage from the floor, McCoy dropped 33 and 16 early in the season against DeAndre Ayton and Arizona, too.

Next: Will DeAndre Ayton’s next game be with the Phoenix Suns

Hey, we could always team ’em up! While a little sporadic at times, there is no denying Brandon McCoy’s abilities as a big man. He may just be Phoenix’s best bet with one of those back-to-back picks.
