5. Devontae Cacok – UNC Wilmington/From Georgia (6-7 240, 21-years-old)
If Devontae was 2-3 inches taller, there’s no way he wouldn’t be higher on the radar. He averaged 17.7 points on 59% accuracy, led the nation with 13.5 rebounds and played decent defense. He had 7 different games with at least 20 points AND 15 rebounds. That is definitely worth a chance, even if he’s only 6-7. The Suns could use some more scoring and rebounding and he provides both. Cacok had a 35 point, 12 rebound game and a 26 point, 24 rebound game. More than likely, he will not see any where near that type of dominance down low in the big league. However, his motor will push him to succeed and he has the intelligence and physical body to still be able to do some damage down low. His knack for rebounding the basketball will definitely carry over. There isn’t much negative to find with him other than his size and he finds a way to exceed expectations so that probably won’t slow him down the slightest. In the 2016-17 season, he set the NCAA record for field goal percentage, making 80% of his attempts. It doesn’t get much more efficient than that.
