  1. Ray Spalding – Louisville/From Kentucky (6-10 215, 20-years-old)

Ray had decent numbers in limited minutes this season, averaging 12.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 27.1 minutes on a 54% clip from the field. He did a little better when facing ranked teams as his scoring went up to 15.8 points and his accuracy stayed in the same range. For example, vs then #1 Virginia, he made 5 of 7 attempts, managing 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. That is a very good line, especially against one of the top teams in the nation at the time. He is a strong finisher that thrives in transition. In that respect, one could almost think Amare Stoudemire. The only thing between him and the hoop in those situations is gravity, which he’s about to defy. His last name should show you he knows what to do with a basketball as well. I mean, giving him the last name Spalding was like setting him up for basketball success from the time he was born. He needs to add some weight but would be special to watch in the Suns’ system and he would likely become a fan favorite.
