10. Cameron Lard – Iowa State/From Louisiana (6-9 225, 20-years-old)

Cameron made 60% of his shots en route to 12.6 points per game with 8.1 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 26.4 minutes. That’s 11 rebounds and 3 blocks per 36 minutes. In nine games facing ranked competition, Lard scored 15.7 points on an insane 72% field goal accuracy along with 10 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. That is very efficient and a big reason why he could be a good fit for the Suns. With Tyson Chandler getting older each season and Alex Len set to be a free agent, Lard would be very useful in the paint. (See 10-11 FG for 22 points against then #7 Texas Tech.) He also rebounds and is a pretty good defender. (See 17 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks against then #17 Oklahoma). Lard was named to the All-Big 12 Honorable mention list with his dominant freshman season. He combined with Wiggington to break the most points scored by a freshmen duo in the school’s history. His blocks led to a school freshman record. Stop me when I get to the bad part. Wait, for a second round pick, there really isn’t one.
