Midseason report card with second half expectations
By Adam Maynes
Troy Daniels
The acquisition of Daniels was fascinating because the Grizzlies literally paid the Suns to take him. Now Daniels is proving to be a more than serviceable player based on his fantastic 3-point sharp-shooting alone, a career 40%+ shooter from the outside, and currently shooting 39.9%, Daniels is the ultimate long-distance gunner who spreads the floor like no other on the roster and because of this is nearly impossible to defend off the ball.
Hopefully his 3-point shooting stays where it is (or even climbs a little bit higher) over the final 23 games, either raising his value in a potential trade for a star, or further cementing him as a possible 3-point specialist ala Quinton Richardson on playoff teams for many years to come.
