SMALL – Tyler Ulis and a 2018 2nd round pick (via Toronto) for Ish Smith

The need for another point guard is real and Ish is a friendly face (see 2013-14 Suns). He isn’t much of a 3 point shooter but neither is Ulis. However, he’s making 47% of his field goals and 71% of his free throws this season as well as 5.2 assists when he starts. So he is an efficient offensive player and he tries on defense. This saves 5M this year and 5M next year for Detroit, gives them a young play making PG and a 2nd round pick.

BIG – Jared Dudley, Marquese Chriss, Alex Len and 2 1st round picks (2018 and 2019 via Miami) for Andre Drummond

Andre Drummond to Phoenix would be a big win for Phoenix. With the players they have brought in skill wise and mentality wise, AD would be a perfect fit. He also would protect the rim which is a big need for the Suns defensive improvement. I seriously doubt after acquiring Blake Griffin that he is available but Chriss would be a good backup for Blake Griffin that can step in when he gets hurt. Alex Len in a starting role can be a very solid center who has the potential to put up numbers close to Drummond. Detroit would also get two 1st round picks. That has to at least make them blink.
