Brooklyn First Round Pick

Another trade option – the one that I advocate for far more fervently – is acquiring the Brooklyn Nets’ unprotected 2018 first round pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs want young talent to help bolster their run for the playoffs and need both defense and scoring.

I have a pipe dream that I refuse to let go of, and that is Phoenix owning two top-5 picks this summer. It is possibly (if not likely) that the Suns’ pick will get them there on it’s own, but then having the Brooklyn pick, which is likely to be top-10 as well, would be Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough’s best possible bargaining chip to move back into the top-5.

Packaging Chriss, Tyson Chandler (who Miami has reportedly had interest in) with Troy Daniels, coupled with any one other first round pick that Phoenix has besides their own, then in turn taking any two bad contracts that Cleveland wants to rid themselves of, would be my daily trade offer.

Again, who knows if that is enough for the Cavs to relinquish that pick, but I also do not know if they are going to get anything better either in trade, or with that pick as a stand alone piece.
