The Celtics are looking to add (and add big), so finding a trade with them that could bring the Suns a star will be almost impossible.

However, would Boston be willing to trade Marcus Smart for Tyler Ulis and Miami’s 2021 first round pick so that Phoenix could have the restricted free agent rights to Smart at the end of this season and lock him up long-term?

The trouble with this is that the Celtics are once again in first place in the Eastern Conference so trading Smart might shake things up a bit, in a negative way. However, if they find themselves in the Anthony Davis sweepstakes, then that additional first round pick might make the difference in pulling off a blockbuster trade or not.
