Miami Heat

Josh Richardson might  develop into a scoring star? But would you rather him over either T.J. Warren or Josh Jackson? Probably not. I bet that Miami would take either in a trade for Richardson, but that doesn’t make any sense for Phoenix.

Bam Adebayo would be an interesting player to acquire, if the Suns felt that he would absolutely blossom into a star. In only his second season, he is showing the ability to be a Hassan Whiteside-type, and the perfect player to replace Whiteside himself is eventually traded.

Therefore his cost would probably be fairly high, although I’d bet that Chriss or Bender plus Miami’s own first round pick back would get that trigger pulled. At that point the Heat could then trade Whiteside and probably Dragic, tank hard  knowing that they hold the value of that pick in their own hands, and start over.

Whiteside too could be had, and at only 28-years-old would be the perfect center for the next series of Suns playoff teams. He would cost a ton tough, even though the Heat are actively trying to move him. Think Chriss and Bender if not both, plus at least Miami’s pick. It is important to note though that he is under contract for $25M+ next season and then he has a player option for his age 30 season for $27M+. He would then require an extension and the Suns would have to work that out.

That being said, add a third star somehow over those two seasons and Phoenix would have a helluva core.
