The Suns were 2-5 (.286) over the last 2 weeks. Phoenix beat the 76ers in Philadelphia. This was followed by losses to the Raptors in Toronto, Wizards and Spurs at home, Kings in Sacramento and Raptors at home. The team capped it off with a surprise win over the Wolves in Minnesota. The 1st and 2nd year Suns did some good and bad. Let’s check it out.

Back of the Bench/Injured Players/Roster Movement

Derrick Jones Jr has been cut from the Phoenix Suns roster. He only played 5.5 minutes per game this season and finished his 2 season Suns stint with a 56-23-72 shooting line and averages of 4.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.4 steals per game. “Airplane Mode” can still be seen flying high for the NAZ Suns. This move was needed to be able to convert Mike James from a 2 way to a regular contract.

Danuel House is the newest 2 way contract player. His first 3 games as a Sun have him at a 33-25-100 shooting line with 4 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists. However, he may be showing signs of improvement. His first 2 games he made 1 of 6 shots and missed 3 treys for a total of 4 points. In his 3rd game he made 2 of 3 shots, swished his only trey and scored 8 points.

No recent news has come in on Alan Williams but I’m sure “Big Sauce” is working hard towards his inevitable return to play for his hometown team. Davon Reed is near ready to play with eyes set on a possible early January rookie debut.

Alec Peters has been playing solid over the last couple weeks. In 6 games he had a 53/47/90 shooting line, made 3.7 triples each night and averaged 20.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

Let’s look at each main rotation player and their development.
