When Devin Booker suddenly at center court apparently afraid to move a muscle, it was obvious that something was wrong. Something that could potentially effect more than we know with this franchise.

The entire Valley of the Suns held their collective breaths as we sat and watched Devin freeze, legs spread, and torso hunched over, while seemingly the entire Suns organization huddled around him to see exactly what was the matter.

At the moment Booker’s injury has been explained as a strained left adductor, an injury that even as a low grade strain would be something that could be expected to force him to sit out for at least a week or two.

A tear, on the other hand, could mean a recovery time of 10-12 weeks, potentially taking him out all the way until February before he returns to full, unrestricted, basketball activities.

Should the latter be the case and not the former, or should the Suns wish to hold him out until the latest they possibly can to guarantee a complete recovery with little chance of re-aggravating the injury, the Suns’ odds of winning will disappear into oblivion.

And with it, may be any number of current plans.
