After another exciting week of Phoenix Suns basketball, let’s take a quick moment to review this past week before unveiling week six’s Suns power rankings!

Week number six started off on a rough note.

The Suns lost to Eric Bledsoe and the Giannis Antenkumpo-less Milwaukee Bucks 107-113 in overtime at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Thanksgiving Eve.

After trailing for most of the game, a last second Devin Booker 3-pointer sent the game into overtime.

Even without the Greek Freak, Milwaukee was ultimately able to put Phoenix to rest like a non-pardoned Thanksgiving Turkey in the extra period.

As a side note, both players involved in the Eric Bledsoe trade (Bledsoe and Greg Monroe) started for their new teams and had excellent nights. Bledsoe dropped 30 points and Monroe finished the game with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Two days after falling to the Bucks, the Suns dropped their second game in a row (this time to the New Orleans Pelicans), 91-115. Behind the dynamic duo of Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, who shot a combined 63% from the field, New Orleans put together a truly dominant performance away from home. In a low-scoring affair, no Phoenix Sun totaled more than 18 points. T.J. Warren lend Phoenix had 18, Tyler Ulis had 17 while Josh Jackson and Tyson Chandler both had 15.

In the final game of the week the Suns traveled to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves, the first game of an extended road trip.

Unable to end the week on a positive note (without Devin Booker who missed his first game of the season), Phoenix lost 108-119. Without Booker, who was our with a tie injury, the Suns were never really able to keep pace with the star-studded Timberwolves.

Despite losing three games in a row, the Suns only drop one spot in this week’s power rankings. A close loss to the Bucks, a tough game against the Pelicans, and a rough matchup with the T-Wolves was only enough to push the Phoenix Suns down one spot.
