OUT – Eric Bledsoe and Jared Dudley
IN – Ricky Rubio and Derrick Favors

Why would the Jazz do this?  Rubio was acquired to complement Gordon Hayward but Eric Bledsoe gives them a proven scorer and would help the team more after Hayward’s departure. Utah was rumored to want to sign Jared Dudley before Phoenix jumped in. They could use him especially after Hayward left for Boston and Dante Exum got injured. Duds is a great vet, locker room presence and 3-point shooter.

Why would the Suns do this?  The Spaniard would bring much needed playmaking to Phoenix who is near the bottom in assists. He also plays solid defense which is needed next to Booker. Derrick Favors got in a dog house of sorts last year and will likely walk in free agency after this season. Dump salary trading Dudley, if Favors doesn’t pan out and leaves, or keep Favors as a solid youth addition and starting PF if he revives to anything close to what he looked to be his first few years.
