A new addition to the Pacific Division, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be entering his first year for the Lakers after signing a one year, $18M deal in the offseason.

Formerly of the Detroit Pistons, KCP played a very balanced role in the Motor City. Over his entire career he has averaged over 11 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, and 1.2 steals per game, all while shooting 33.4 percent from three.

In fact, at a glance, Caldwell Pope’s shooting numbers are not all that different from a certain 20-year-old shooting guard we have here in Phoenix. Devin Booker’s career 3-point percentage is only two percent higher than KCP, and his overall field percentage sits only 1.8 percent higher.

In the shadow of Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, how will Kentavious Caldwell-Pope fair this season? Lakers’ and Suns’ fans alike are eager to find out.
