Rebounds average

It’s easy to say scoring for T.J. Warren, and certainly I have been one to tout his innate ability to put the ball in the hoop seemingly with ease. But while that is still a definite possibility, with Josh Jackson on the roster now, scoring more will actually be more difficult for Warren to accomplish.

Could he easily break 14.4 points per game? Sure. But what I’d actually like to see more from him is his rebounding, which is where he might focus more of his energy on if scoring in a greater abundance just isn’t possible.

Warren averaged a career-high 5.1 rebounds per game last year, but proved that he could be very Shawn Marion-esque  in his ability to grab boards. If he keeps his defensive focus on rebounds, the shots on offense will come. But his contribution of potentially 6+, or even 7+ boards per game this season, would be most beneficial to his growth moving forward.
