Scoring average

Like all of the rookies, every stat for Mike James will be a career-high. And like Millsap, his stats will all entirely be based upon if he makes the team and if given any significant minutes.

Of course, what will help James make the roster and play with any regularity are the unfortunate injuries to Knight and Reed. It must be remembered that Reed is not a shooting guard. However, he is a fantastic scorer. He could, in a way, fill in perfectly for Knight as a quick-paced scoring guard.

Thus, James’ particular career-high could be his scoring average.

As a 27-year-old rookie who has played for many years in Europe, James shouldn’t  come in too far behind the eight-ball and if called upon, could step in and perform. If he works out, and is relied upon heavily as a regular backup, Mike James could average up to about eight points per game, and maybe even throw in a 20-point spectacular outing once or twice as well.
