Who would be worth trading for Devin Booker

A Porzingis-Booker swap was actually proposed by the Knicks just a couple months ago, back when Phil Jackson was destroying the team’s relationship with the young star. However, the Knicks also wanted the fourth pick in the draft, which turned out to be Josh Jackson. The Suns, nor the fans, had no interest in that idea, and rightfully so.

What if, though, the Knicks felt their relationship with Porzingis was beyond repair and offered to swap with Booker straight up? Or maybe Booker and a less valuable piece? Well then, I think the Suns would almost have to pull the trigger.

What makes Kristaps Porzingis a more intriguing player than Devin Booker is that he is so unique. According to Kyle Wagner of FiveThirtyEight, while Porzingis has “untapped potential” on offense, his “ability to protect the rim, score inside and stretch the floor make him ready to contribute to a contending team right now, today, even if he isn’t quite ready to carry an offense.”

Booker made amazing strides last year, but he can’t do everything that “The Unicorn” can. During the 2016-17 season, Porzingis averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and two blocks per game, all while shooting about 36% from three. He’s amazingly athletic considering he is 7’3”, even winning the 2017 All-Star Skills Challenge.
