Dan Majerle – SF/SG

Thunder Dan is the roster’s only true  3 and D player and is impossible to leave off of the roster.

He made 2K’s lineup so we’re not making a mind-boggling addition by keeping him here. However, there is an argument that Nance should be on the roster over Majerle, which does make his inclusion (even as a Ring of Honor member) a sincerely difficult decision to make.

In his prime though, Majerle could play either shooting guard or small forward, and is to this day the franchise’s most beloved role player.

What makes his inclusion so important is the fact that for the majority of his Suns career he was a sixth man. Even though he was never recognized as the best bench player in the league with a Sixth Man of the Year award, in 1995 he was the first bench player to ever be voted in by the fans as a starter  for an NBA All-Star game.
