It is evident that Phoenix Suns’ guard Devin Booker is becoming an elite player, but he is becoming elite in the trash talking aspect of the game as well.

If Phoenix Suns fans have one thing to look forward to in this upcoming rebuild of the season it is the possibility of another 70 point explosion by Devin Booker. Booker is a special kind of player that nobody would deny. He could become an elite shooting guard as soon as next season like Klay Thompson, C.J. McCollum, and James Harden. Booker could become one of the best Suns in franchise history in the next three to five years if he continues his growth. Booker is also developing another none traditional skill in the game of basketball. Trash talking is a skill in the NBA and it appears Booker is being recognized for it.

In a recent Bill Simmons podcast, Golden State Warriors Kevin Durant applauded Booker’s game and trash talking skills. However, Durant said the belt still belongs to fellow Warrior Draymond Green.

If you do not believe a MVP, then listen to this.

This is only a small sample of what Booker probably says on the court on a regular basis. If Booker improves his trash talking skill like he does his game then he may end up being like some of the great trash talkers in NBA history. He could join trash talking legends such as Kevin Garnett, Reggie Miller, Dennis Rodman, and Wilt Chamberlin. Booker is a young player and has so much more developing in his game, but he should not make trash talking his primary focus.

Trash talking is a fun aspect of the game that players and fans love, however at the end of the day, trash talkers need produce. The Phoenix Suns should make sure Booker focuses on his game first and foremost before developing his trash talking skills.
