Alan Williams’ goal should be simple. Play hard enough to secure the backup center spot.

Williams recently signed an extension with the Suns. One he rightfully deserved.

During the past season he averaged 7.4 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game in just 15 minutes of action. In fact, in the 16 games he played where he got 20-29 minutes, Williams put up 12.9 ppg and 10.6 rpg. And in the 3 games he played over 30 minutes, he averaged 14.0 ppg and 13.7 rpg.

He was so good last season that almost every advanced stat favored Williams

With Len’s future in Phoenix being uncertain, expect a career year from Williams.
