Humphries took over at the point from 1984-87 and made a return roughly halfway through the 87-88 season. In his three and a half years with the Suns he averaged 10.8 PPG, 6.3 APG and 2.8 RPG while shooting 48% from the field. Humphries just barely edged out backup PG Kyle Macy due to having a better assist and rebound average than Macy. They both roughly shot the same FG%.
