2016, 13th Pick
Who The Suns Took:
Georgios Papagiannis, Center, Greece
Career Stats:
22 GP, 5.6 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 0.9 APG, 54.9% FG
Who The Suns Should Have Taken:
Malcom Brogdon, Guard, Virginia – Originally taken by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 36th overall pick
Career Stats:
75 GP, 10.2 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 4.2 APG, 45.7% FG
Georgios was a part of the trade that made Marquese Chriss a Sun, so this pick is hard to judge because of that fact. However, if the Suns were to keep the pick, Brogdon is the best choice here. Despite being the oldest rookie in the class, Brogdon displayed a lot of potential and talent in his first season. He was Milwaukee’s point guard for much of the season and played well in the role. Malcom can shoot, defend, pass, and handle the ball. He’d be a valuable sixth man for Phoenix playing behind Booker and Bledsoe.
