Brandon Knight should remain a Sun at least for now

Hands down, the one name on the Suns’ roster whose future is most often discussed and debated is Brandon Knight. Arguably the biggest bust signing in franchise history, many people cannot wait for Knight to eventually be off the roster.

However, it would be terribly inauspicious for Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough to do anything but keep him in a Phoenix uniform until either the right deal presents itself or his contract runs out.

Yes Brandon Knight has not lived up to the expectations that were heaped upon him when McDonough (essentially) traded away Isiah Thomas and the Los Angeles Lakers’ first round pick to acquire him. And yes, expectations were heightened even greater when Thomas took off like a leprechaun with a jet pack in Boston.

That being said, there is no reason to rush his removal. In fact, Ryan McDonough should still consider him as a piece of the future, if even for the short-term.
