Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap might be the hardest of this bunch to project going forward. Millsap is 31 and while he increased his points per game numbers from last year to this year, he declined in most other categories including rebounds per game, FG%, 3PT%, and 2PT%.

Millsap also played the least amount of games in a season since the 2011-2012 year. Millsap is still well liked by the advanced stats though as his defensive rating was the best among this group. Also, Millsap posted solid a defensive rebounding rate number at 19.5%, as well as 17.9% assist rate.

Millsap remains a versatile player, who has shown the ability to guard a couple positions and has the flexibility to play multiple offensive roles depending on who is on the floor with him. Millsap could fit with the Suns in multiple roles and might be able to play some minutes next to both Bender and Chriss or next to just one of them as a center or power forward depending on where the young players were most comfortable.

Millsap might be the easiest player of this group to get, although there will be many suitors. Atlanta’s direction as a franchise is up in the air and the Suns training staff could lengthen Millsap’s career by a couple years.
