Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala’s impact on the Warriors is anything but small. Despite only averaging 26 minutes a game, the lowest of this group, and only scoring 7 points per game in the regular season, the former Finals MVP provides an incredible impact mainly on the defensive end. Iguodala put up a 2.9 defensive win score and 1.7 defensive box plus-minus. Iguodala shot over 36% from three-point range which is above average and a capable number when open.

Iguodala’s impact is extremely difficult to measure statistically. His defensive rating of 105 is good but is likely artificially high because Iguodala always takes the hardest assignments. Iguodala has made his name of late making it difficult for Lebron, Kyrie and any other star player assignment that he draws in the playoffs over the last couple of years.

Iguodala’s locker room presence, leadership, and ability to teach everyone one the roster, and especially Josh Jackson, who received comparisons to Iguodala prior to the draft, would be the most valuable asset brought to the Suns. The tough part with Iguodala is that he has already declared the willingness to take a pay cut to stay with the Warriors, and only take $12 million per year. The Suns would likely need to offer him more to draw him from the great possibility of winning another championship.
