Josh Jackson

Speaking of fourth overall picks, Suns fans will get their first look at rookie Josh Jackson during the Summer League, something that will surely grab the attention of many eyes throughout the Valley of the Suns. If any Sun could dominate other than Marquese Chriss, Jackson could be that player. And yet, little should be expected of him in his first pro foray, although he seems to have the disposition to impress right away so fans may actually be given a treat with his performance. His game isn’t offensive-dominated so it isn’t likely that he comes out and averages 20+ points throughout the Summer League schedule. But if he can average near a double-double and hit a shot or two in the clutch, he alone could be worth the price of admission.

It will be interesting to see how quickly Suns coaches begin working on his shot as well. The moment they have a chance he could very well have a pro shooting coach with him at every practice and workout helping to break his shot down and work it back up. It could be a slow process, to which fans who have seen his shot in action in college may not notice any change. However, if there is dramatic change in any way, shape, or form, then it will likely be apparent to all observers – for better or worse.
