Signing Paul Millsap isn’t that bad of an idea

Means moving Marquese to center

With Millsap, the Suns will then likely go into the regular season with only one true starting center on the roster, hopefully with Alan Williams still backing the spot up.

If this comes to pass, we may actually see Marquese Chriss slide over to the starting center spot and either Chandler or Len will back him up. Millsap will probably not be brought in to block Chriss and Dragan Bender on the depth chart. His addition will potentially slide Chriss over meaning that both will still remain in the regular rotation. If Chriss does start at center, then the currently bigger Millsap can still defend the more bulky centers, while Chriss will be required to defend the more agile big men.

Dragan Bender was never really expected to start this season at all so his role would not be effected much, as he would still be expected to be one of the first off the bench to backup Millsap, with Alan Williams backing Chriss.
