#2 Trade with Sacramento for Five and Ten

Ryan McDonough managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat last draft day when he acquired the number eight pick from Sacramento landing Marquese Chriss. The trade was widely seen as a swindling of Vlade Divac and the Sacramento Kings, so naturally many Suns fans have wondered if McDonough could work his magic again.

It has been speculated that the Kings’ number one draft hope is point guard De’Aaron Fox. The Suns do not necessarily have a need for Fox at the moment with Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, and Tyler Ulis on the roster, but they could certainly use him as their point guard of the future should they so chose. If Divac and the Kings management believe that the Suns might actually take Fox one pick ahead of them, Sacramento could be enticed to offer Phoenix a trade.

Whether the swap would be five and ten for four or if Phoenix would need to throw in another asset, the ability to move back to five and still either draft Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum while also acquiring the tenth pick which can either be used now or traded for a future pick, would be extremely exciting, and be the second best scenario of the day.
