#1 Trading for Kristaps Porzingis

If the Suns managed to trade for Kristaps Porzingis (and retained Devin Booker), this scenario is far and away the best possibility for ratcheting up the rebuild of the Phoenix Suns.

There is no potentially available player in the league that better fits the Suns’ needs and growth timeline than Porzingis, and the thought of having he and Devin Booker on the wing for the next seven years minimum would scare the daylights out of Phoenix opponents.

Regardless of what the package would be necessary to make the trade, acquiring Porzingis would undoubtedly make the Suns a playoff contender next year, but more importantly make the Suns relevant once again. Fans of our beloved franchise have been waiting for a trade for a star to fall into our laps for several years now. Should the Suns manage to make such a trade and acquire the budding superstar, Suns fans the world over will celebrate in exulted delight, building a thrown in General Manager Ryan McDonough’s honor.

Disappointingly, at the moment it appears on the surface that the possibility of obtaining Porzingis is currently dead. But just knowing that there was a chance, gives fans hope that there may be a chance once again in the near future.
