3rd Pick

The Suns give the Celtics a decent haul to move up just one spot. The Suns get rid of Knight, giving him to a team where he can have a chance to start or be a spark plug off the bench, depending on who the team drafts with their new pick. Philly also gets a good shooter, defender, and vocal leader in Dudley. Phoenix moves up one spot, and they pick up another second round pick in the process (pun-intended). T.J. Warren was also an option to trade away here, but he’s not good enough of a shooter or defender for the Celtics to want him.

Josh Jackson is not only the best player available here at three, he also fits a position of need for the Suns. He gives Phoenix a player with premier defender potential, plus the tools to be the second or third option for the team as well. Jackson brings size, athleticism, and length to the team. Many Suns fans are hoping Jackson falls to them in real life, as Philly needs shooting more than anything else, and Jackson’s shooting stroke is still developing.
