16th Pick

If Phoenix makes this trade, it’s likely because either Josh Jackson fell to them at 4, or they fell in love with Jayson Tatum and took him at 4. Unless Phoenix gets one of those two players, they don’t have any reason to trade Warren. However, if they do get one of those players, Warren would likely be out the door. In this deal, they give Chicago a good wing scorer in Warren, and the later of their two 2nd round picks. Chicago gives them the 16th pick, and their own 2nd round pick.

Kennard shot almost 44% from the 3 point line at Duke last season. That alone is a good reason to draft him, especially at this position. Obviously, Devin Booker is the shooting guard of the future for the Suns. That doesn’t mean that the Suns don’t need a backup. Kennard would be a great fit for them off the bench. Kennard projects to become the second coming of Kyle Korver. Shooting, shooting, and more shooting, and not much else. He could eventually become an okay defender, but for now, his forte is shooting the ball.
