17th Pick

The Bucks would make this trade if there’s nobody at their draft position that they love. They also dump Teletovic’s $10 million a year contract, as he doesn’t fit their style like they thought he would. In return, they get the Suns lottery protected pick next year, and a late 2nd round pick in this draft. This is the point in the draft where the prospects stop being must-get players, and start becoming projects and role players to fill a need.

Barcelona II. Rodions Kurucs. 17. player. 66. . Small Forward

Kurucs is a big-bodied forward who can get to the basket, finish, and even distribute a little. He’s a more physical player than TJ Warren, and would contribute a unique skill set to the Suns. His 3 point shot definitely needs work, but his defensive upside makes him an interesting prospect in this position for Phoenix. Whether he plays right away or is stashed for a year or two, he could definitely help this team down the road.
