19th Pick

A reason for the Suns doing this trade is if they get Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum with their 4th pick. In that case, TJ Warren becomes more expendable, and he may ask for a trade anyways, as he believes he should be a starter. In that case, a trade like this would be a solid deal for Phoenix. They get the 19th pick this year, as well as a protected 1st rounder next year. They take Bazemore’s large contract, but he actually provides the team with some much-needed defense and athleticism at the Small Forward position, so it’s possible the Suns would keep him on the roster. For Atlanta, they get a player who’s likely better than anyone they could draft in this position, and a second rounder to add more depth.

66. . Center. Creighton. Justin Patton. 19. player

Patton is a good defensive big man, something the Suns definitely need. What makes him attractive is his ability to run the floor, as well as finish off the pick and roll, a staple of the Suns’ offense. He wouldn’t get a ton of playing time right away, which gives him time to sit behind Tyson Chandler and develop his game and NBA body.
