Imagine there was a team with full market cap flexibility and had the ability to summon any draft asset necessary to execute a trade. Also imagine this team was only interested in making fair trades for both sides.They’re only goal is to make as many trades as possible by churning players for picks and picks for players.

Essentially they would be operating like a bank that has no intention of making a profit. This, I believe, would provide the perfect economic vacuum and create a currency we can use to apply true value to a player and his current contract status.

So let’s apply this model to the current players on the Suns roster now that the Draft is only two days away. If we liquidated the current roster, what would be the balance left in the draft bank.

Let’s take a look.
