Who The Suns Should Have Taken:

Rajon Rondo, Point Guard, Kentucky

Career Stats:

714 GP, 10.7 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 8.5 APG, 46.3% FG

Rondo has had a very up and down career. At his height, he was arguably a top-five PG in the NBA. His defense and passing abilities are fantastic and he was a crucial part of the Celtics’ championship with the Big Three. On the downside of his career, Rondo has clashed with coaches and teammates, been injury-prone, and at times disappeared on the court and lost his starting spot. The Suns could have definitely used a young, defensive point guard to spell Steve Nash off the bench. However, Phoenix traded away this pick, sending Rondo to the Celtics for a future pick.
