Who The Suns Took:

Nate Robinson, Point Guard, Washington

Career Stats:

618 GP, 11.0 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 3.0 APG, 42.3% FG

Who The Suns Should Have Taken:

Monta Ellis, Shooting Guard, Lanier High School (MS) – Originally taken by the Golden State Warriors with the 40th overall pick

Career Stats:

833 GP, 17.8 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 4.6 APG, 45.1% FG

The Suns once again traded this pick, sending Robinson and Quentin Richardson to the Bulls for Kurt Thomas. Nate Robinson had a very solid career, and was an exciting player at the height of his career. He certainly would have been a nice backup for Nash. However, Monta Ellis has had a pretty good career, and offers a lot of scoring and offensive versatility to the Suns.
