Obviously the Suns can’t trade with themselves. Many mock drafts have Phoenix taking Jayson Tatum out of Duke here if Jackson is taken 3rd, but I like the idea first proposed by Arizona Sports 98.7 FM’s John Gambadoro of taking Isaac here. Tatum is a very good scorer, and while more scoring is always a plus, Tatum doesn’t fit with the Suns’ core. He’s a ball dominant iso scorer, and his defense is about as bad as Devin Booker’s. The Suns need athleticism, defense, and better ball movement. Tatum doesn’t add any of those three elements.
