How the Suns could trade for every pick, 1-5
By Tim Holstad
2nd Pick
The Lakers realistically need a superstar. Giving up the 2nd pick is more than likely completely out of the question. However, if they were willing to do the trade, this package is as likely as any to be one they’d accept. They move back two positions, but they still get a top 4 pick. They also get Chriss, a younger, higher upside player than Randle, and they get to dump Mozgov’s contract for a more favorable and more useful contract in Chandler’s. The Suns give up a lot to move up, but that’s the price to pay to get into the top two spots in this draft.
With Fultz off the board to the Celtics in FanSided’s latest mock draft, Ball is still the clear pick here for Phoenix. For those who are worried about Ball’s “illustrious” father, he won’t be a problem for whatever team picks Lonzo. Random people have almost no impact and no access on professional sport franchises in their day to day activities, and Ball will be no different. He has two other sons to focus on, and frankly, Lonzo is an adult. He will make his own decisions, specifically when it comes to his NBA life. His dad may be his business manager for his shoe, but that’s the most pull he has, and that’s not much pull.
